Dries are still a good option on the upper Madison, especially on some of the windier afternoons. Hoppers and large attractors seem to do the job. Dropping a small nymph or a stonefly nymph off of a larger dry can yield some good results as well. Nymphing is a great option for the upper, especially during some of the cooler days when things slow down a little. Streamers may be effective, especially early in the mornings or late in the evenings. Recommended Fly Patterns Dry flies -
