If there was one workhorse of the Simms Guide Series waders, it would be the Simms G3 Wader. With what some would call the perfect combination of durability, breathability,fit and function, the Simms G3 Wader is the most popular wader we sell in the shop.
Just like the G4 line of waders, the G3 incorporates the same technology features such as the articulated neoprene feet, built-in gravel guards, patented front seam technology on the legs and articulated knees and body. The G3 also uses the 5-layer GoreTex Pro Shell material on the legs and 3-layer GoreTex Pro Shell on the upper body. The main difference here is that the 5-layer material only rises up each leg to the crotch area of the wader. From there up, 3-layer material is used for more breathability and mobility. This offers extreme protection on the most abused portion of the waders, the legs, and allows more comfort for the rest of the wader. It’s no wonder that the Simms G3 Wader is considered the best wader for the money by many of our guides and consumers. To finish the wader, Simms has incorporated a non-zippered pass through hand warmer pocket on the chest, an additional Velcro pocket on top of that pocket and the internal tippet tender pocket with built-in retractor for easy access to fishing essentials. The shoulder straps are the same as on the G4 Pro as well as most of the Simms waders. They are non-padded and simple with opposing ends allowing you to easily roll down the waders and use them as a waist belt. Speaking of waist belts, the Simms G3 Wader includes a nylon web belt and single belt loop in the back to help keep it on your waders when taking them on and off.
