Simms Freestone Pant Wader

Have you ever ventured down to your local stream for an afternoon of fishing, put on your Simms chest waders and fished for the afternoon only to realize that you never got in over you knees?  For that very purpose, Simms has designed the Simms Freestone Pant Wader:  A comfortable, easy to get on-and-off option for a day on the water.

Why a pant wader?  With the exception of cooler days of fishing in the spring and fall or rainy days during the summer months, why not?  The truth of the matter is that on many days throught a summer of fishing, most anglers rarely go above their waist when fishing and those who do are often on the verge of a swim.  In addition, many anglers on warmer days simply roll their chest waders down or unzip them for more comfort and air circulation.  While I probably would not recommend these waders for an angler’s only pair, especially if they fish often and throughout the year, they make sense for many anglers and are very comfortable to wear for  a day on the water.

The Company Line:

The trek into Slough Creek’s upper meadows is a haul by most standards. And when you’re lugging several days’ worth of gear, provisions, and a rod in hand, you can’t beat the stop-and-go capabilities of this stalwart pant.
