298 CFS @ Gateway - The Gallatin River has been fishing okay to start the new year. Most of the fish have been caught nymphing with a big stonefly trailed by a zebra midge or egg. The valley has been the most productive as it see's more sunlight then the canyon. Still fish the middle of the day to avoid any slush.
